We Asked, You Answered: What Rock Album Changed Your Life and/or Influenced You Most?

If it inspires you and stays with you, it must be good stuff. We wanted to know what held that power for you.

A couple of weeks ago, we put the question to Twitter in our first – and very unofficial – survey of our new rock and roll online brethren. When we asked, “What rock album(s) changed your life and/or influenced you most?” we were hoping for something more than the standard fare.

We got it.

Here are some of the albums you mentioned:

Queensryche: “Operation: Mindcrime”

Savatage: “Gutter Ballet.”

King’s X: “Gretchen Goes to Nebraska”

Metallica: “And Justice For All”

Dream Theater: “Images and Words”

Living Colour: “Time’s Up”

Extreme: “III Sides to Every Story”

There’s some pretty great stuff on that list! Want to add to it? Please do, in the comments below, on our Facebook or Twitter.

Thanks to all who pitched in their two cents so far.

About Mutineer

Mutineer is a rock 'n roll bucket list project. I'm working on it because I want it to exist. Rather than a call to confrontation, Mutineer is a removal of resistance and rally for accountability and self acceptance. Though the songs are long-since written, I have little idea how I'll actually get a group of musicians together and get it recorded and released properly. This site is here to document the process. If you've ever wondered about testing the laws of attraction and intention, follow along.
